Beck House is a quiet family farm in the Lune Valley at the foot of the Howgill Fells, with milking cows, sheep and lambs and some hens.

The caravans are each in their own secluded and fenced garden, with a garden seat on which to relax and watch the birds. In the spring there may be an opportunity to feed pet lambs.

Howgill is an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District. The fells are superb for walkers, with fantastic views from the tops.

Sedbergh (3¾miles) is our nearest market town, with interesting buildings and yards, a Tourist Information Centre, pubs, post office, banks, chemist, laundrette, supermarket and mill shop. There is a good golf course and the newly opened Farfield Mill is a must.

For the energetic, a walk to the felltop is a challenge - or a gentle stroll along the Howgill lane to see the abundance of wild flowers.
