Murthwaite is a traditional Lakeland Hill Farm nestling in one of the loveliest and most unspoiled valleys in the Lake District National Park - Longsleddale.

This Lakeland Dale, which runs off the A6 road to the North of Kendal, is a country lover's paradise. The lush green, flower filled meadows are divided by the sparkling waters of the River Sprint, from where the pastureland rises up to the towering Cumbrian Fells.

Murthwaite is ideally located as a peaceful base from which to explore not only the Lake District, but also the Dales and Scottish Borders, as we are situated just 6 miles from Kendal, 8 miles from Windermere and about 14 miles from the M6 motorway.

The wood lodges each provide comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people, comprising of two bedrooms, bathroom, an open plan lounge, dining and fitted kitchen equipped with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and gas cooker, with television/video and patio doors opening onto a veranda.
