Poppy Farm is a traditional working farm in a rural location with panoramic views of the Whinfell and Howgill Fells. The area is untroubled by mainstream tourists but within 4 miles of the historic market town of Kendal and close to the M6. It is ideal for easy country walking and touring the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Morecambe Bay and the Furness Peninsula.

There are five caravans situated in a half acre of fenced grassland suitable for relaxation and play, and typified by the call of the curlew on summer evenings. Just one of the 'vans is available for holiday letting.

The holiday caravan is positioned carefully to take advantage of the excellent views of surrounding fields and hills. The caravan is in excellent, clean condition and well maintained. It is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. Blankets, quilts and pillows are provided, but guests are required to provide their own sheets and pillow cases.

There is no public transport within walking distance, but lots of interesting places to eat within easy driving distance.

The site is open between March and October inclusive.

The caravan offers spacious accommodation with quality furnishings, and comprises of a double bedroom with fitted wardrobe and background heating, a twin bedded room and additional berths in the dining area. There is a seperate bathroom with shower, wc, wash basin and heated towel rail. The kitchen is modern and fully fitted with a gas cooker, refrigerator, toaster, electric kettle and gas water heater. The lounge includes a gas fire, colour TV and dining area.
