This is an area ideal
for walkers and cyclists (who are most welcome, there is secure cycle

has a good selection of pubs, all serving food, and an Information Centre, Post Office, Local Butcher and Bakers and cafe.
Millom (6 miles) also offers the same services
as well as a good selection of shops, including Co-op and Tesco. For those who enjoy spending
some time on the beach Haverigg and Silecroft are nearby (about 7 miles). For those who enjoy horse riding, whether it be on our local fells or Silecroft Beach (highly recommended), we have the world famous Cumbrian Heavy Horses less than a 10 min drive away and also at Silecroft there is Murthwaite Green Trekking Centre. |
