This is an area ideal for walkers and cyclists (who are most welcome, there is secure cycle storage available). The famous Swinside Stone Circle is within walking distance from the farm / caravan.
The farm is an ideal place for those who wish to escape the "rat race" and enjoy the peace and tranquility, yet an ideal spot from which to explore the delights of the Lake District and the Cumbrian Coast. Coniston is just 10 miles away.

Broughton-in-Furness (4.5 miles) has a good selection of pubs, all serving food, and an Information Centre, Post Office, Local Butcher and Bakers and cafe. Millom (6 miles) also offers the same services as well as a good selection of shops, including Co-op and Tesco. For those who enjoy spending some time on the beach Haverigg and Silecroft are nearby (about 7 miles). For those who enjoy horse riding, whether it be on our local fells or Silecroft Beach (highly recommended), we have the world famous Cumbrian Heavy Horses less than a 10 min drive away and also at Silecroft there is Murthwaite Green Trekking Centre.
